I just tested this with an *internal* log.

But it *might* work for you all the same... (in fact, an external log
is probably a better way to do this perhaps?)

   umount the fs
   xfs_db -x /dev/blem --- fiddle versionnum
   xfs_repair -L
   mount

Backup data, etc. first though :)
