My company is building up an Itanium based Redhat box that needs 1 TB of storage. They have asked me what the choices are. I have been very impressed with 3ware cards in Pentium systems. Does anyone know if the 3ware x86 drivers work at all in an Itanium? Or have any thoughts about a pure software Raid? I know the md driver can do Raid 1, can it do Raid 5? Thanks Greg Freemyer |
