Yes, we're compiling new user tools and kernel on RedHat 8.

I think you need to get an updated xfsdump rpm.  What you can do is
download the source rpms (in the SRPM directory) and run `rpmbuild
--rebuild` on them.  That should give you updated XFS tools for the
release of RedHat you're using.
