RedHat-6.2 -> RedHat-7.3 with Ximian red-carpet worked without any
problems here (well, I'm running the 6.2s
original 2.2.14 kernel since the upgrade kernels (2.2.19) and 7.3s kernels
(2.4) do not work with the PCMCIA-network card on the Toshiba laptop -
and no time up to now to look further into it).
