I've just been looking at xfsdump and all of its options.
It looks like a really good, feature laden backup program.
I want to start calling it every night from cron.
Are there any sample scripts which are designed to be called from cron and do
something like the following:
Session = Todays date
SUN: Make a full backup (-L $Session)
MON-SAT: Make an incremental from the Sunday backup session
use xfsinvutil to verify the inventory and send an e-mail if there are any
use xfsinvutil to delete any inventory over a year old
Perform any other xfs daily maintenance. i.e. xfs_check, defrag or whatever if
Also there any GUI type interfaces for xfsdump/restore. I'm thinking of the
ones that HP's Omniback uses.
It would be really nice if restores in particular could be controlled via a
