  Alan,
    Have you heard any reports about vmware 2.x for newer kernels?
  2.4.17+ ?

 The patch site ftp://platan.vc.cvut.cz/pub/vmware/ seems to indicate 
 that all is ok on 2.4.6+ if you use the  vmware-ws-1455-update3.tar.gz 
 fix... Any gossip or news appreciated.
