Hopefully this is not too off topic, since it is probably not xfs 
specific, though would be applied to an xfs system. In case I am 
completely wrong here, I apologize for the noise.

I wonder, wether it is possible, that files (created, copied, moved ..) 
inherit owner and group and from their parent directory instead of 
getting those by the one that takes the action (or keeping the original 
ones when moving). 

And furthermore, wether it is possible to assign default permissions 
(incl. acls) to those files - even if they differ from those of the 
parent directory.

The idea is (or rather one idea), to have a directory, owned by 
root.root, mode 1777 (sticky) that anybody can copy files into, but 
nobody beeing able to delete them (even not the ones copied by 
themselfes, since they are not owner any more). 

Or maybe there are other solutions at least to this particular problem ?
