Don't take this for more than an opinion, but I threw bestcrypt away
never-to-be-taken-back after it ate all the files in the container (ie
next mount just had a blank filesystem, no errors anywhere and no files
either). I only tried ext2.
I does compile (more or less) pretty effortlessly but it still seems
pretty odd to me. It's a shame there aren't more tools like that,
though.

The Informix beast isn't a small, cute St Bernard like SMTP. It's a
monster of a black dragon, breathing smoke and ESQL C at anyone who
dares to approach it.
