There may be a reason why things like this end up on the list.  I fell 
in to the trap the first time as well.

At the bottom of the Linux XFS project page, there is a link for an email 
address for questions.

No where does it mention that you are posting to a mailing list, it looks
like you are just sending mail to the development team.  It does not indicate
there is anyplace to look at previous postings to the list, either.
