Heh, i just asked the very same thing yday on irc.debian.org. Basically,
u need to update a couple of files in the vmmon.tar file (driver.c
IIRC). 

I can mail in the updated vmmon.tar if its ok with you as i don't
remember the specific changes. IAC, google should be able to provide you
with a suitable link which describes the procedure.

I now just need to fix the stupid locking complaint that VMware gives
out every time i start it from the XFS home partition.
