Hi,
I'm running Red Hat 7.1, with the kernel upgraded to 2.4.4. The newest
kernel patch I can find with XFS is for 2.4.3. Normally, the difference between
one stable kernel and the next is not significant, and patches'll go in
cleanly. Unfortunately, Alan Cox has been at the Mountain Dew again, and the
differences are too great.
Any idea if you'll be making a 2.4.4 patch? XFS looks like an excellent
filing system, but I want to avoid having too many base kernel releases on my
computer. Since XFS shouldn't touch -too- many core components, could you
produce an "XFS module kit", to handle situations like this? (It would probably
save on hair-restorer, too.)
Thanks in advance,
Jonathan Day
