I'm using XFS for test purpose quite successfull on SuSE-7.0/7.1 since
public release of PreRelease-0.9. Anyway there is one only reason why I'm
not completely confident with XFS' behaviour.

When I use XFS for /var/ and do an 'rpm --rebuilddb', then I get terribly
huge files in /var/lib/rpmrebuilddb.<PID>/. All resulting files are much
larger than usual but especially 'fileindex.rpm' grows at least up to 90
MByte or 'diskfull' (it's usually less than 3 MByte).
I know this behaviour from the very first tests on /var/ until now with
linux-2.4.3 and linux-2.4.2-[core-]xfs-04192001 patches on filesystems built
with mkfs.xfs version 1.2.0. Filesystems are mounted with 'default' options
only.
Are there any difficulties with lots of small writes/updates ?
I'd appreciate to test fixes if this is helpful.

Cheers,
        Martin.
