This code was checked in to the 2.4.0-test12 tree. I thought I 
closed the PV but it appears I didnt......

We have merged two more kernel releases since this time, plus
Ananth changed the I/O path to do the right thing. If we still
have a problem this can be reopened, but I think it should be
gone now.
