I just got a clean top of trunk kernel up on the machine in a new workarea.
I hit the hang again.

Mounted filesystems are on:
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/part1 on / type ext2 (rw)

I am now about to try a kernel with the last set of kiobuf changes
backed out.
