Any kernel module we build is still tied to the specific kernel it was built against. It's just that if we release kernel-2.4.20-18.9sgi1, we can release xfs-modules-1.3pre1, xfs-modules-1.3pre2, etc against it. That module still won't have anything to do with a 2.4.9 ES kernel.
