hi Murthy - 

How are you using nfs in this case?  I'm wondering what the obvious
interactions might be.  Also, if you have kdb enabled, can you do a
"kdb> bt <pid>" where <pid> is your xfsrestore process?

Any hints that could help reproduce this here would be appreciated...
