OK, I didn't manage to make "later today" ;-)  - I've
held off a bit until I could more thoroughly test the
new version of the tools, which are now pretty solid.

The initial version of the new tools is now available
(via cvs only, currently) from the cvs link below:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxquota/

These tools support:
        - 2.4.X quota (VFS, version 1)
        - 2.4.X-acX quota (VFS, version 2)
        - XFS quota (journaled, nifty)

To checkout via cvs, I'm using the commands:

[initial login..]
$ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/linuxquota
login
[subsequent checkouts..]
$ cvs -z3
-d:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/linuxquota co
quota-tools

I'll send some more comprehensive mail once there's a
source tarball for download and once the Sourceforge
project page has been updated. The quota tools which
currently reside in the XFS cvs repository will soon
be "downsized", in preference for the new version.

cheers.
