The writes to the superblock and AGF areas (at least) are still done as 512
byte writes.  I don't know if it is possible to change these last few
cases - the superblock and AGF areas are only 512 bytes long (on my
filesystem), for example.  Presumably another on-disk format change would be
required to work around this.
