Which errata is that? I read
http://support.sgi.com/linux/docs/errata-1.3.html and didn't see
anything about this.

OK, DMA is on and turning it off fixes the problem. Two questions:
1. Why does this work with the RH 2.2.14-5.0 kernel and not the
2.2.15-3SGI_31 kernel?
2. Do I need to turn this off using hdparm in one of my startup scripts
or simply turn it off in the BIOS?
