That's the part I forgot to mention in my last email...
rpm -i --nodeps --force pro64-0.01.0-10.ia64.rpm hung the session.
Since then, I've found that the problem was due to NFS mounts dying. I installed successfully from a local drive.

Use `rpm -i --nodeps --force pro64-0.01.0-10.ia64.rpm'.  You should be
running a fairly recent kernel, such as 2.4.0-test4 or later.
