Please apply the attached patch to pmie_check and let me know if this resolves the problem. There is no doubt that the logic for matching up the control file with the pmie instances is busted in the presence of symlinks on the path to the pmie log file ... if anyone else has seen this, please apply the patch and let me know if it resolves the problem.
