I think that was an oversight, rather than intentional (reading between 
the lines of Nathan's mail).

I think it needs to be a little more than this ... the BuildRequires 
should also be added for the other platform variants when making the 
postfix pmda.
I've committed a patch with this change to my tree, email following.

Once this is reviewed, it should flow to the official tree.
