qa/514,519&583: rework journalctl command line args

It would be nice if today's generation of developer's took the
slightest interest in making command line arguments consistent or
at least backwards compatible between versions of commands ...
this time it is journalctl where one needs to walk a minefield
of alternate long and short options that may, or may not, be
supported on any particular platform.
