Fair point David, I'll move my openSUSE platforms forward to match the supported matrix when I get a chance.

But this does not help for NetBSD, OS X, Solaris derivatives, Debian derivatives, etc. So I think we should still have conditional logic in the build for any component that depends on packages outside PCP that may not be universally available.

The PCP build was working on SuSE 12.1 up until a few days ago and I don't see any good reason why it should stop working, even if there are some functional pieces of PCP that are not supported on that platform.
