I was asked today if we could add an option to the pcp(1) script to
report which clients are connected to a host. We'd need pmcd.client
metrics to do that ... pmcd has a table with connected clients, but
its not exported currently. It also only has IP addresses, it would
be better if we had hostnames, and better still if we had pmProgname
sent over from the client, and perhaps a PID too (would need to add
to the CREDS PDU to pass those over).
Any thoughts? Is this a bad idea? Anyone game to implement this? :)
