The changes I posted yesterday are a rewrite of this code and don't do
this. I'll add it and try to get it pushed today.

I have been concentrating on trying to improve the QA pass rate, and not wanting to move my code base too far while doing that, so I've not merged in any of the pcpfans commits.

There seems to be lots of stuff in Nathan's tree and these changes in your tree, and I'm hoping for pmcollectl fixes from Stan. Rather than pulling WIP or cherry picking, I'd prefer to wait until these are all merged into the official oss tree, then I'll pull from there and re-base the QA effort.
