Hello All,

I am running the apache pmda on a host, and find that the pmda stops working if apache is restarted. The only workaround that I have found is to re-start the agent.

Is there some know way of getting apache agent survive across apache re-starts ?

I am having the same problem with mysql

My environment:

$ uname -a
Linux XXXXXXX 2.6.18-53.1.19.el5 #1 SMP Wed May 7 08:20:19 EDT 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
$ cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 5 (Final)
$ pcp
Performance Co-Pilot configuration on XXXXX:

platform: Linux XXXXX 2.6.18-53.1.19.el5 #1 SMP Wed May 7 08:20:19 EDT 2008 i686
 hardware: 4 cpus, 2 disks, 2022MB RAM
 timezone: EST-11
     pmcd: Version 3.5.11-1, 5 agents, 1 client
     pmda: pmcd linux mysql apache mmv
 pmlogger: primary logger: /var/log/pcp/pmlogger/XXXXXX/20120320.00.10

Thanks in advance
Chandana
