I am proposing changing pmlogconf in the following ways:

All looks good and nice and configurable for the kinds of
out-of-the-box logging configs needed in typical enterprise
or HPC environments.

Another thing Nathan and I once discussed was packaging and
installing the cron control files to drive pmlogger.daily
et al. On Fedora, this could be as simple as installing
/etc/cron.daily/pmlogger_daily, though I'm not sure how
portable this would be for other platforms.

On the other hand, it could be as complicated as separating
the pmcd and pmlogger rc scripts, and having them separately
chkconfigurable .. that would be too much work and probably
not worth it :P
