pmcd dumps core everytime on TurboLinux 8.0. "Unexpected signal 11 ..."

Yes, in fact, I am seeing another problem.   pmcd sometimes core dumps 
when I start it on UL.  I haven't had time to look into it yet, but I'll 
try to today.
