Hi Ken,
Do you remember the original reasoning behind the addition of this
code in pmcd, inherited by all the PMDAs. We've come across a PMDA
(Samba) that has been bitten by it, not functioning correctly as a
result of this. We've worked around it for now, but perhaps we can
remove this nowadays, if the original problem is no longer with us?
(if only we knew what it was)
