On my box, looks like /System/Library/Perl/5.10.0/ExtUtils/MakeMaker.pm
is creating a Makefile for us that has "INSTALL_BASE = /usr". I can't
see anything we're doing that would influence that prefix, it seems to
have come up with an invalid setting all on its own?
