Not sure if it helps in your situation, but I've seen others use the "touch /var/lib/pcp/pmda/mysql/.NeedInstall" trick, via puppet, to ensure the PMDA is installed (along with a metric fetch test, IIRC). If you touch that file, a "service pmcd restart" will do a default Install for the PMDA if it is not installed already. cheers. -- Nathan |
