Without that, there can have been no testing of the pmie change with the pmmgr
changes, since it removes the workaround.

It'll need to be reviewed and merged - I'd prefer if you could do that, please,
so we have some confidence that its been looked at and tested by someone who is
using pmmgr and knows the code.
