src/pmlogger/events.c is the same in our two trees.

I see a couple of missing commits from your tree

2b3918b6a56c360e36f5b69912a63a784fe6966d Fix pmieconf after syscall metrics 
went away on Linux
55b4ef8f3945a5d110704fd472ac09631f35961d retire PM_CLUSTER_EVENT - no longer 
needed

These are probably both worth taking.
