    installed makefiles for PMDAs
    
    We don't need the -I and -L options from the builddefs, particularly
    as $(TOPDIR) is not defined once the images are installed (as opposed
    to during the build) ... some gmake magic needed to make this
    happen and avoid compilation warnings on some platforms.

    mkaf - fine tuning for Mac OS X
    
    Need a darwin case in the $PCP_PLATFORM switch.
    Also minor rewrite of exit logic to handle no output from Mac OS X version
    of od(1) if one of the archive files is empty.
