[PATCH] fix buglet shown by gcc warnings

Hi,

There's a bug in the libpcp_trace tag name length checks - due to the
limited size of the variable being assigned, we wont notice and error
out on names which are too long.

This is being reported as a warning by gcc, as shown in the top of the
patch attached.
