Sorry for my late response.
Hmm... I apologize that you confused the issue due to my poor English :-p
In brief, we want the mechanism of source address selection into IPv6 stack.
If we have one Ethernet interface with some prefixes as the following,

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:60:52:04:BC:B7
          inet addr:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX  Bcast:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX Mask:255.255.255.224
          inet6 addr: 3ffe:505:d::abcd/64 Scope:Global
          inet6 addr: 3ffe:801:a::beef/64 Scope:Global
          inet6 addr: 2001:200:c::1234/64 Scope:Global
          inet6 addr: fe80::260:52ff:fe04:bcb7/10 Scope:Link

how can we select source address to communicate other IPv6 hosts ?

        a) Every application have to implement the mechanism
           to select the best source address by itself,
        b) We have to specify a source address by any command-line
           option whenever we use IPv6 application, or
        c) Linux kernel might select the appropriate source address.

What option do you think the best ?
We(Linux IPv6 Users JP) think c is reasonable.
So we have made a patch for source address selection.
I'm really interested in your opinion for the improvement
of Linux IPv6 stack.

Regards.
