Hi, folks here,

We are the IPv6 Tech Research Team,USTC. Our recent study tells
a big bug in linux kernel 2.2.13.

We have two boxes installed Mandrake Linux 6.1 with the kernel 2.2.13.
Each of the boxes has a 100M D-Link NIC, witch is supported by the
via-rhine driver carried in the kernel. Each box are implemented the
IPv6 stack of course. The two boxes are connected via a 100M optics
fibre.

After the two boxes boot up, everything goes well. The connection is
very good. But after some time, say one or two days, the connection will
lost. But if we use the `tcpdump' to see what's going on at this time,
the connection will rebuild! We guess that the via-rhine driver has some
wrong codes witch will flood the buffer of the 100M NIC. Now we are
looking into the source code, and we believe the reason will be found
soon. I wonder if there is any patch for this bug already. It will save
us a lot of work. :))

Regards,
Wang
