Before we can use your code you need to assign copyright to the FSF.  Please 
take a look at <http://gcc.gnu.org/contribute.html>; it explains how to do 
this, and most of the information there applies to glibc as well as to gcc.

I'm not familiar with the BSDI licence.  Someone will need to check that it is 
compatible with the GPL.

The code could also use some tidying up before it is incorporated into glibc.  
You should get rid of `config.h' and the ifdefs that go with it.  There is no 
need to test for glibc >= 2.1 since this code will go into 2.2.  Also, please 
reformat the C code according to the GNU coding standard.
