As an experiment I went into BIOS and selected "Internal
cache: Disabled" and it then took about 30 seconds to
uncompress the kernel. It normally takes ~1 second.

I guess American Megatrends think that "Internal Cache"
is an appropriate name for an offboard L2. Shrug.

Surprising amount of difference for an offboard cache
though.
