(Appologies if you've already seen this, I believe it didn't get
sent correctly last time, or maybe the attachment was too big..)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
While trying to get my tulip (mostly?) compatible card to allow
jumbo (4 bytes larger) frames for VLAN, I attempted to get the
"tulip.c:v0.91g 7/16/99 becker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\n";
driver to run on 2.3.42.
I have no idea if what I did was reasonable, but it does seem to
work on my system at least (it didn't fix my frame_error problem,
but regular traffic seems to work ok)....
At any rate, it would probably be a good idea to get a newer
tulip.c into the kernel soon.
If you'd like this driver, or to put it in the kernel proper (AC, Becker?)
then please download it from my web page:
http://scry.wanfear.com/~greear/tulip.c.gz
If anyone can figure out how (if it's even possible) to get the
driver/card to accept larger pkts (current max + 4), please let
me know..
Thanks,
Ben
