Hello all,
I know Linux already has the notion of multiple routing tables, but has
anyone extended this to be "Virtual Routing/Forwarding" (ala Cisco and
RFC 2547bis).
Is there any standard yet for an application to request which routing table
it want to bind to?
Is there any standard yet for binding an interface to a routing table?
I know these are vague question, and I'm expecting vague answers.
Just want to know if anyone has done or is doing this type of work.
Thanks,
Jim
BTW my posting to netdev was triggered by a post to the mpls for linux
mailing list "<mpls-linux-general@xxxxxxxxxxxx>" by "Nick Eggleston
<nick@xxxxxxxxxx>" .. just making sure to give credit where credit is due ...
