gethostbyname2() (or gethostbyname2_r(); maybe glibc specific).
Pelease note getipnoby{name,addr} and gethostbyname2{,_r}() are now
deprecated; please read draft-ietf-ipng-rfc2553bis-00.txt.
According to this draft, we will be able to pass AI_V4MAPPED, AI_ALL,
AI_ADDRCONFIG flags through getaddrinfo().
(I'm not sure, but maybe) I will implement this.
