I have to get the 2.2.14 straw patch, re-apply the SGI patch to that,
then I'll have a full patch.  Either way, it's close enough.  My guess
is that Stephen got rid of the kiobuf_init() code, but I'd have to make
sure that it gets called somewhere else (otherwise, you'll have a
problem).  He probably moved the call to somewhere else.
