Top of trunk kernels will not get to multiuser in SMP any more. 

Please remember to (at the least) try out a multiuser boot on
UP and SMP kernels before checking in changes into the kernel. 
For instructions on how to get a root disk that will boot up 
multiuser, please contact me.
