FYI, as a followup to my email of last week that spoke of success in using gcc 3.0.1 for building kernprof-capable kernels, I have first-hand evidence that gcc 3.0.1 for a 2.4.13 + the Lockmeter patch (http://oss.sgi.com/projects/lockmeter) causes problems.
