FYI, the kernprof profiling patch is available for the stock v2.4.0 kernel: http://oss.sgi.com/projects/kernprof/download/profile-0.7-2.4.0.patch It has been tested for i386, though not for the other supported platforms. In particular, in terms of platforms that are available to me, neither the mips64 nor the ia64 ports are at the v2.4.0 source level yet.
