debugging kdb

Hi,

I've adopted kdb-v4.3 i686 to work with redhat enterprise linux kernel.
In general it works fine, but sometimes, on SMP architectures it
enters kdb prompt.
Backtracing shows `default_idle' on top of each stack and `go' command
returns to program.
What can cause it and how can I trace this thing ?
