I have been using 2.2.13 patch on  2.2.14 kernel for a couple of weeks.
(8th Feb to be precise). There was only one conflict in some #define
(i don't remember exactly which)
I have configured the kernel to be SMP and I have been using kdb extensively.
There has not been any hang up or crash ...
