Hi, Dan I checked the mail archives of kdb mail list, and found some time back you submitted following patch: http://www.mail-archive.com/kdb@xxxxxxxxxxx/msg01358.html I am interested in this topic, I have read through your patch and attempt to apply your patch, but before that I have several questions about it. 1. As you mentioned, "There are a few issues with this patch", what do you mean by this? What issue will I encounter if I apply this patch? 2. At the same time you said it is supported only for x86_64, now I am trying to enhance it to include the support for i386, but not sure what exactly shall I do, I saw your patch only changes one x86_64 specific file, that is arch/x86_64/kernel/crash.c, you extracted halt_current_cpu() from crash_nmi_callback(), it seems arch/i386/kernel/crash.c also includes this function, and the code there is very similiar, so can I say the only thing I need to do is make the similiar change in this file?
